A very beautiful cotton patchwork 'ralli' quilt, circa mid 20th century, Lower to Middle Sindh, SE Pakistan. This is an excellent example of classic patchwork polychrome triangles, a very traditional motif which can be traced back to early Indus Valley pottery, 3rd to 2nd millennium B.C. The condition is very good, with only a with minor stain on the surface. It is backed with a beautiful sky blue indigo dyed cotton. Dimensions and price on request.
