SOLD* A beautiful vintage 'ralli' patchwork and applique cotton quilt, circa mid 20th century or before, Middle to Lower Sindh, Pakistan. This example dislays both applique, patchwork and small areas of embroidery along the red and white edges. It has wonderfuf movement and depth, and testament to the experience and expertise of the woman who made it. It has been worked with very harmonious, soft colors. It has been backed with a plain cream colored cotton. The condition is excellent. It is a very collectable example from a long tradition of quilting in South Asia. *SOLD
