Vintage Ralli Quilts | Rare Vintage Bengali Galicha #16

SOLD A very rare and beautiful embroidererd cotton 'Galicha' cover or carpet, circa 1940, Northern Bengal, NE India. This interesting piece should not be listed with the other items in this category, but since I only have one, I decided to include it here. These are very rare, and the only other examples I've encountered are in the Philadelphia Musuem of Art, which has a small collection. My example was found in rural Sindh, and I have yet to encounter another. The condition is excellent. SOLD
