A beautiful 'Thirma Bagh' headcover/shawl from the Swat Valley region of NW Pakistan. This shawls surface is completely embroidered with red floss silk. The base material is homespun ivory cotton, which can only be seen on the ends and sides. Three diamonds of yellow-green silk were used very sparingly in the field. Thirma baghs are now difficult to find, and I've only owned a handful in thirty-plus years. A beautiful, collectable example in good condition. Approx; 4' x 7'6". SOLD
