A very beautiful silk embroidered child's blouse or dress top, which has been opened to lay flat, circa 1900 or before, Kutch area of Gujarat, India. This is a masterpiece of Kutchi embroidery done in the most intricate stitches and most beautiful naturally dyed silk. Delicate flowers seem to float across the surface of this amazing piece. The embroiderer worked in fine chainstitch silk on a brick red cotton ground. A rare and charming museum quality example in excellent condition. In fact, the only blouse fronts I've seen similar to this great example have been in a museum and in one private British collection. Price on Request
