Antique bagh or headcover for the bride, which was also used as a canopy for the bride and groom during the wedding ceremony. The owner would could then wear it during special family celebrations. This example, known as 'Chand Bagh', represents the reflection of the moon or moonlight, and is a particularly fine piece in near mint condition. It is all hand embroidered using floss silk, on a 'khaddar' cotton ground material. Circa early 20th century. East Punjab, Pakistan/India. SOLD
