A very charming phulkari, circa 1900, East Punjab, India. Wonderful floss silk embroidery on a homespun cotton ground material. Large roosters, and small chickens decorate the end panels. A row of peacocks march along the top and bottom of the field. There are is some light staining and fade, with light corrosion of the floss silk consistant with age. SOLD
