A wonderful antique embroidery by the Kyrgyz group, circa late 19th century, Northeast Afghanistan. Silk and cotton embroidery on black velvet. It is possible two fragments were joined to create a larger piece, as there is a seam running through the center. Many of these antique pieces were re-worked, as nothing went to waste. Very handsome embroidery with a truely nomadic origin. Price on Request
