This fine example was probably used as a seating mat for a special guest during an important family event. Beautifully executed stitching and quilting with organic dyes. Made from old, discarded family clothing, such as saris and men's dothi. After deconstucting the clothing, the threads were then used for the quilting and embroidery work. Excellent condition.
