A wonderful antique ikat panel, 2nd half, 19th century, Uzbekistan. The dimensions are 31" x 14". Somewhat rare and beautiful, dynamic design with yellow, white and various shades of red. A very difficult pattern to create, but the design is clear and consice due to the use of cotton wefts and silk warps. Fine needlework decorates the exterior. Old cotton chintz covers the back. Probably from the Bokhara area of Uzbekistan. A very collectable example. Price on Request
