Beautifully drawn and executed antique Chamba rumal, 19th century, Himachal Pradesh, North India. Wonderfully colorful floss silk embroidery on homespun cotton ground. This rumal depicts a central, blue deity figure, with dancing 'gopis' and varoius forms of flora and fuana. All natural dyes. Chamba rumals of this age and quality are now very difficult to find.
