Ancient sandstone sculpture depicting Lord Shiva. Circa 12th century, Cambodia. Shiva sits recessed in a carved niche surrounded by curvilinear and meandering foliage. The Khmer culture was known for it's unique and complex mix of both Hindu and Buddhist deities. It was a non-violent and very artistic culture. Nicely mounted on a custom stand.  22" by 7".  SOLD
