A very beautiful, large antique stone oil lamp, early 20th century, Rajasthan, India. The heart shaped indentations were fill with oil, and a wick was placed in the oil. The were lit for the Hindu 'Diwali' festival of lights, as well as other religous events and auspicious occasions. These are wonderful, garden sculpture, and magnificent when lit. The tortoise base is beautiful as well. SOLD
