A stunning antique Ming dynasty bronze Guanyin, circa 16th century, China. Guanyin is the deity of compassion, and of all the Chinese deities she is the most popular. Guanyin has the ability to take on innumerable forms including a lady with white robes and a bodhisattva with a thousand hands. This particular Guanyin dates to the 16th century, a late Ming dynasty piece, and is an exquisite example of Ming bronze work. It measures 27" tall by 14" wide and 10" deep. SOLD
