A very large and unusual 'chuval' or transport or grain storage bag, Ersari subtribe of Turkoman, Lower Amu Darya area, Turkmenistan/Afghanistan border area. All natural dyes, including a nice yellow and green. There is beautiful work on the inside near the top. There are some holes, damage and wear, but all in all a very handsome and collectable example. It could use a good soak and wash. SOLD
