A beautiful antique tent rug, made by one of the nomadic Baluch groups that inhabited the region of Northeast Khorasan during the late 19th century. It is decorated with a beautiful 'shrub' design and filler motifs. Natural dyes were used for its production; including a deep indigo, mediun blue, purple brown, undyed ivory wool, as well as a clear, rich yellow. Beautifully woven skirts with soumak embroidery finish each. It is nice to find these still intact, as many examples have had these removed, once they show wear. Collectable example. SOLD
