This interesting small 'main carpet' would have been used as a center carpet in a nomadic Baluch black tent. It was made with all natural colors, displaying wonderful symbolic motifs and 'gul' type devices. The field is a corroded brown, which adds relief, texture and depth to the designs. The sides chords are numerous in number. Indeed, I've never seen a Baluch rug finished in such a way. Ten chords or more! The long elaborate flatwoven ends are to be noted as well. A nice, collectable example produced by one of the sub-tribes of Baluch in Khorasan. SOLD
