A beautiful example of an antique '6 gul torba' circa 1880, Tekke group of nomads, Middle Amu Darya, Turkmenistan. The weaving has wonderful, has glossy wool and was produced with all natural dyestuffs, including dark and sky blue, madder red and apricot orange and undyed brown and ivory. The work is super fine giving this torba a paper thin handle. The colors saturared and the drawing is crisp. This piece is in nice condition with re-overcast sides. A classic and collectable Tekke 'torba' with a desirable '6 gul' design. More images coming soon along with dimensions. Price on Request
