A very beautiful bagface from the nomadic Qashqai group, Fars Province, Southwest Persia. Circa 1900. This weaving displays an allover repeated diamond design. Wonderful filler motifs are placed in the open spaces of the field. A nicely drawn main border with a 'stars and bars' design frame the field. Very soft natural dyes create an unusual color pallette for this group. Nice closures and weft float work decorate the top. Excellent condition. Price on Request
