A classic bagface from the Qasqai group of nomads, late 19th century, Fars Province, Southwest Persia. Sorry, it is a very poor image. For some reason, this is a hard one to photograph. This piece displays the ubiquitous Qashqai medallion with hooked animal heads, cruciform devices and filler motifs. Good pile, though there is a repair lower left in the green flatweave, and a few darns here and there. Price and better images, on request.
