A very beautiful saddle cover made by the Kurds of Northwest Persia during the 4th Qt. of the 19th century. This wonderful example is docorated with rows of vertical stripes, and corners filled with 'boteh'. There is a split middle of top (now sewn together) where the pomel of the saddle fit. Very saturated natural colors were used. A stunning saddlecover with a very unique design. Missing a bit from the edges, but the rest is in very good full pile condition. SOLD
