A very nice example of a classic design from the Mushwani sub-tribe of the Baluch, circa 1900, Western Afghanistan. Nice condition with good pile and silky wool. All the colors are natural with the exception of the ground color of the main border, which appears to be a mix of organic and synthetic dye. The color shows slight tip fading, so most likely there was some synthetic use. I've always liked this design, and the drawing of this example displays it well. SOLD
