A beautiful antique soumak embroidered 'khorjin' or pair of saddle bags. Circa late 19th century, Fars Province, SW Persia. All natural dyes and beautiful glossy wool. A rare 'star' design separated by horizontal rows of horned animal heads. All closures and loops intact. Red and blue striped flatwoven back.
