A very beautiful bagface from the Luri group of nomads, circa late 19th century, Fars Province, Southeast Persia. This wonderful example has been dyed with very saturated organic colors, and the the best high alitude wool was used. The drawing in ivory of the stylized animal heads surrounding the center diamond is particularly nice. The weaver has even drawn their eyes. The design is very balanced, and the knotted pile closure tabs are to be noticed. A fine, collectable example in excellent condition. Price on Request
