Antique bagface, late 19th century, Kurdish people, Northwest Persia. This interesting example displays stylized floral motifs repeated across the field. All are floral forms (roses?), are placed on a pleasing golden yellow ground. All the dyes are clear and strong and the wool is dense and glossy. The border main border design is also floral. A fine flatwoven finish decorates the top. Missing from sides with re-overcasting to stablize. The rest is in full pile condition. SOLD
