An antique bagface probably produced by one of the sub-tribes of Kurds in Northwest Persia. It could also be SW Persian I suppose. An interesting example with a stepped medallion, styized plant forms and wonderful filler motifs. All the dyes are natural with madder derived red and orange, indigo blue, teal green, yellow, brown and ivory. it seems to be missing from the bottom, but curious why the brown and ivory dotted design continues through both the main border and border guard. The sides are original. No repairs. A nice collectable piece in very good condition. Price on Request
