A somewhat rare 'gabbeh' style bagface, circa late 19th century, Qashqai nomads, Fars Province, SW Persia. A beautiful example with saturated natural colors, excellent long shiny wool and great condition. Woven with the technique of the coarser, longer piled Qashqai sleeping rugs, it is unusual to find a bagface woven in this fashion. A very handsome example in great condition and good age.
