An antique 'chanteh' or valuables bagface, circa 1900, Sistan desert region, Southeast Persia. A nice little bagface displaying classic Sistan motifs, such as the center cruciform octagon and 'stars and bars' border. A nice example with wonderful natural dyes, and glossy wool. Braiding on the corners appears have been added at a later date, and the orange is most likely synthetic. (The braiding would be easy to remove if bothersome) Price on Request
