A wonderful Baluch 'balisht' or grain storage bagface, sometimes used as pillows, circa late 19th century, Timuri group, Western Afghanistan/Persian border. I have seen examples with this design which were woven in the Sarakhs area of Khorasan, but this example appears to be from the 'Timuri' group who inhabited the border area with West Afghanistan. A stunning example with beautiful, saturated natural dyes, somewhat rare design and full pile condition. Nice glossy wool and pleasing abrash. A collectable example from one of the sub-tribes of the Baluch group of nomads. Price on Request
