This example is unusual in regards to displayng two human figures, which appear to be wearing hats and riding camels. I don't recall seeing another Baluch bagface with human figures, but I'm sure they must exist. This intriguing piece was made by the Salar Khani Baluch group sometime during the late 19th century, a nomadic group who inhabited the Khorasan area in NW Persia. The colors seem to be organic, though the yellow shows some slight tip fade. The 'Salar' turrented 'gul' is very nicely drawn. It is quite an old piece with a lot of charm. SOLD
