An interesting bagface, circa 1900, by one of the sub-tribes of the Baluch in the Khorasan region of Northeast Persia. All the dyes appear to be natural. Full pile condition. Beautiful soumak embroidered flatwoven end finishes. The border design is very unusual, as it is seen in Baluch rugs, but I can't recall ever seeing it being used in a bag. There is a few moth nibbles, one towards the center, the other in a border guard. All and all very nice full pile condition with no repairs. SOLD
