A very nice saddle bag, circa late 19th to early 20th century, Baluch group, Western Afghanistan. An interesting piece with great colors, beautiful 'mina khani' design, and with embroidered leather corners. There are 'arabesque' designs sewn into the leather. The wool is very shiny and soft. The leather is very old and appears it could be original, but most likely not. There is nice flatwoven work along the top and bottom, and the closures all still remain. A nice, collectable example.
