This wonderful Turkoman weaving was produced somewhere around circa 1850 or before. It displays the classic 'Tekke Gul' main carpet design, with rows of 4 x 10 guls. The elaborate ftatwoven skirts that finish each end are still intact, which is rare for a rug of this age. Wonderfully, saturared colors of varying shades of indigo, madder root and undyed wool have been used. A collectable example in very nice condition. Mostly full pile condition with a few areas of old restoration towards the center. Price on Request
