A rare 'chuval' grain storage or bedding bag, produced by the Karadashli sub-tribe of Turkomen, Middle Amu Darya River area, Turkmenistan. Circa 1830 or before. This an early and fine example has fantastic organic colors and amazing, glossy wool. It seems the older they get, the better the materials used during their production. Beautiful, spacious design. A very collectable example from a bygone era. SOLD
