Antique nomadic 'main carpet' with a very unusual design layout, 4th Qt. 19th century, Western Afghanistan. Wonderful natural dyes and beautiful flatwoven end finishes. Varying shades of madder root, indigo and natural, undyed wool. Shiny, glossy patina from use. The noble example would have graced the center of a Baluch black tent during special occasions. SOLD
