SOLD* A beautiful silk embroidered panel, circa 1940, Baluch group of people, Afghanistan/Pakistan border. A very attractive panel which was originally made as a 'bhujki' or dowry bag exhibiting very five work, beautiful colors and great condition. Four quartered panels are decorated with zigzags and diamond motifs, surrounded by borders in traditional Baluch fashion. It has been backed with cotton chintz, likely traded from India. A handsome piece from the nomdic Baluchi who have now settled west of Ouetta. The dimensions are 12" x 10" (30cm x 25cm). A very charming addition to any collection. SOLD
