This is a beautiful and quite unique embroidery from the Tharparkar region of Sindh, Pakistan. It measures 30" x 12". This charming example was most likely the face of a pillow cover. It is silk embroidery on mill spun red cotton. The designs are worked in a number of techniques including resho, sheesho, phulrho and a two types of darning and running stitches. The woman who created this wonderful item was an adept and talented embroiderer to say the least. This type of work is a lost art in this area now. This condition is very good, and it is a lovely, collectable example. Price on Request
