A fine 'buhjki', also spelled 'bhujki', circa 1940's to 50's, Thar Desert or Sindh, India/Pakistan border area. Cotton interlocking or 'hurmitch' stitches are used along with a quilting stitch often employed by the women in this area. There is also small mica mirrors placed amidst the interlocking stitch work. Small brass beads adorn the lower corners. This example utilizes both natural and synthetic dyes, an indication of its later production. The condition is very good. Price on Request
