Embroidery India/Pakistan | Semi Antique Applique & Embroidered Dowry Bag

An interesting embroidered and applique folding dowry bag, circa 1940's, Thar Desert, Rajasthan, India. This unique example is decoratated in red, black, yellow, mauve and white applique, with very small embroidery stitches. The white center of the back displays expert applique work which is fine and precise. The bag shows some light wear due to age and use, but overall condition is good. All and all, a charming and unusual example. The dimensions are 25" x 17" open. Offered for a very reasonable price. Price on Request
