Embroidery India/Pakistan | Old Sindh Silk & Metal Thread Gaj

Antique or vintage silk with silver and gold wire work technique (nehran) is used, as well as small tufts with beads to embellish the surface of this outstanding example. I believe it to be the work of the Meghwar group which inhabit areas of lower to middle Sindh. The work is precise, the colors appear to be organic, and the condition is excellent. The are The dimensions are 29" x 21" (74cm x 54cm). A fine and very collectable example. Price on Request.
