A beautiful example of an antique shawl is known as 'Abochhini' or 'Odhani' depending on the reference. This embroidered wedding shawl/headcover was made during the late 19th century, Mithi area, Sindh Province, Southern Pakistan. Floss silk was used the decorate the central, half, and quarted roundels, as well as each end panel. The ground material is of fine muslin cotton. It was  produced in the Tharparkar region of Sindh. Beautiful example in excellent condition. SOLD
