Embroidery India/Pakistan | Antique Sindh Embroidery
This is a very old and beautiful 'abochhini' headcover, Lohana group, from the Tharparkar region of Sindh, Pakistan. Quite an old example which shows wear and corrosion of colors due to age and possibly reduced from its original size, but a lovely example nonetheless. There is also a bite out of one edge, please view images closely. The colors are all from natural dyes, and the design if wonderful displaying desert flowers in 'pakkoh' stitch embroidery posibly representing the native rohirho flower. Even showing distress, it is an embroidery of merit which now have become quite difficult to find. The dimensions are 55" x 42". It is priced according to condition. More images will be provided if requested. SOLD
