A beautiful example of applique work canopy known as 'Chandarvo Pachwai', from the Oswal Baniya community, Rajasthan, India. Early 20th century. Beautifully appliqued flowerheads are repeated throughout. Some wear consistant with age and use, nevertheless a splendid and collectable example in overall nice condition with wonderful soft colors and design. This example is older than most.
