A very rare design 'phulkari' headcover/shawl, circa 1930's or before, the Punjab, pre partition India. Floss silk embroidery on homespun cotton. Delicate work displaying a central 'pandum', two opposing birds with a grid containing stars. A very unique example in excellent condition. Approx; 53" x 86". Very collectable piece with great design and condition. SOLD
