A beautiful embroidered headcover/shawl, known as a 'Vari-da-Bagh'. This wonderful example was embroidered by the groom's mother, with the first stitch placed by the grandmother after the birth of a boy. This 'bagh' then became part of the bride's dowry, to be used on special occasions and certain religous ceremonies. This magnificent piece is embroidered with floss silk on a maroon khaddar cotton ground. It is in very nice condition. (Very difficult to photograph due to light reflecting off the silk) Price on Request
