This delightful antique applique and patchwork quilt was produced in the Saurasthra region of Kutch, Gujarat, sometime in the early 20th century. It is an interesting example due to the fact it mimics the silk embroidered chaklas from the same area. The colors have softened and mellowed with age, only to add to its beauty. The handle is fine and soft. The condition is good, though there are some areas of wear, as is expected of a piece from the early 20th century. It is likely that it's been reduced from it's original size. It is a charming example with a lot of character which would fit nicely with many decors. It measures 4' x 4'1". Price on Request
