SOLD A simple yet beautiful 'odhani' headcover/shawl, also known as 'abochhini', circa 1900, Diplo area, Sindh Province, Southern Pakistan. Red and green floss silk is used to embroider abstract flowerheads, mostly in a diagonal pattern. All are placed on a ground fine and light muslin cotton. The end panels are decorated with 'butas', or oval clusters of flowers. The floss silk has a nice shimmer with movement. One small tear, and a few light stains, otherwise very nice condition. The dimensions are 68" x 44" (173cm x 112cm). A nice older example in collectable condition. SOLD
