This beautiful Arab oil lamp dates to the late 9th to early 10th centuries. It is from Fostat, Egypt. It has been decorated with a lovely fawn colored glaze, and displays a wonderful, sparkling iridenscence. The piece has great provenance, from an old Cairo collection.
