A very beautiful embroidered small rectangular bag, circa mid 19th century, Banjara community, Karnataka, South India. This charming example is beautifully embroidered in chain, cretan and buttonhole stitches. The colors are saturated and clear. The piece has also been embellished with mica mirrors.
