Antique or vintage applique and embroidered betel nut case, known as 'dataniya kanhaiya', circa 1940's, Banjara community, Karnataka, South India. A very beautiful case used to hold the 'neem' stick', used for teeth cleaning, This is a charming little bag with excellent applique and embroidery work, embellished with mica and cowrie tassels.
